To be eligible for permanent residency through the Agri-Food Pilot, applicants need to fulfill specific requirements, which include:

Job Offer from an Eligible Employer: Applicants are required to have a full-time, non-seasonal job offer from an eligible employer in Canada in a designated occupation within the agri-food sector.

Work Experience: Candidates must possess at least one year of full-time, nonseasonal work experience in Canada in an eligible occupation within the agri-food sector, obtained within the three years prior to applying.

Language Proficiency: Applicants must prove their proficiency in English or French by submitting valid language test results. The necessary language levels might vary based on the job and employer requirements.

Education: Although there may not be strict educational requirements, possessing relevant education or training in the agri-food sector may strengthen the application.

 

The process for applying for permanent residency through the Agri-Food Pilot typically includes these steps:

  1. Secure a Job Offer: Obtain a full-time, non-seasonal job offer from an eligible employer in one of the designated occupations within the agri-food sector in Canada.
  2. Gather Supporting Documents: Collect all necessary supporting documents, including evidence of work experience, educational credentials, language proficiency, and other required paperwork.
  3. Complete the Application: Fill in the application forms provided by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) thoroughly and accurately. Make sure all required fields are completed and all supporting documents are attached.
  4. Medical Examinations and Security Checks: Complete medical examinations and security checks as required by the application process.

Submit the Application: Send your fully completed application along with all supporting documents and the necessary fees to IRCC.
