Rural & Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP)
This pilot program is crafted to tackle labor shortages in rural and northern communities by providing a pathway to permanent residency for individuals who meet certain community-specific criteria.\
To be eligible for permanent residency through the RNIP, applicants need to fulfill specific criteria established by the participating communities, including:
Job Offer Requirement: Applicants must secure a legitimate job offer from an employer in one of the participating communities. The offer should be for a full-time, non-seasonal position that pays the prevailing wage rates.
Work Experience: Candidates must have at least one year of continuous full-time work experience (or an equivalent in part-time work) in a relevant occupation to the job offer, obtained within the last three years.
Language Proficiency: Applicants are required to prove their proficiency in English or French by submitting valid language test results. The specific language proficiency levels required can vary by community.
